A1 Acappella were thrilled to have their inaugural performace at the West Road Theatre, Cambridge. We were part of a concert that also included Rock Choir and Military Wives Choir. We were very well receved by the large audience!
North Northamptonshire Music Festival

Ouse Valley Chorus were thrilled to compete in the North Northamptonshire Festival of Music for the first time. We participated in two categories, singing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" from The Lion King, and "Do You Hear The People Sing?" from Les Miserable in the Show Songs class, and "Chances Are" and "Come What May" in the Male Barcbershop Chorus class. We were very pleased to win the Barbershop class!
Once again Ouse Valley Chorus attended the BABS Convention in Harrogate. This was a special one to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BABS. We sang "All Of Me" and "I Won't Send Roses" from the Broadway hit "Mack and Mabel".
Ouse Valley Chorus were once again thrilled to be performing at the Oundle Festval of Music and Drama. This year, in addition to competing in the Close Harmony category (where we sang "All Of Me" and "I'm A Believer"), we also sang in the Show Tunes category with "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" and "Do You Hear The People Sing?"
We had great fun touring the pubs of Huntingdon for the first time post-lockdown. It was really great fun to sing wear silly hats, and of course, have a few beers too (well, it would be rude not to!). We raised over £300 for Prostate Cancer!

BABS Convention 2023

Ouse Valley Chorus were once again thrilled to compete at the BABS convention 2023. We performed "Chances Are" and "Come What May" and came a very respectable 8th out of 28 competing choruses with a score of 67.9%. After winning Division 3 in 2019 we were very excited to win Division 2 this year!
Once again Ouse Valley Chorus were excited to compete at Festival of Music and Drama. With a score of 86% ("commended") we retained the Harmony Shield for a second year!
Ouse Valley Chorus were excited to perform once again at the BABS Convention after a two-year hiatus. With our new Directors, Nickie and Ian, we sang "You Make Me Feel So Young" and "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge. We were thrilled to receive our highest ever score and ranking!
Ouse Valley Chorus were delighted to be able to participate in the Oundle Festival of Music and Drama once again. We sang our convention package of "You Make Me Feel So Young" and "Come What May". We received glowing feedback from the adjudicator, Paul Davies, and walked away with the Classic Harmony Trophy. We haven't had our hands on that for some time!
Ouse Valley Chorus were delighted to be invited to the first Festival of Barcbershop hosted by Black Cat Harmony. We sang our 2022 Convention songs, "Come What May" and "You Make Me Feel So Young", as well as the toe-tapping "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. We were joined by Welwyn Harmony, Hereward Harmony, MK Acapella and enjoyed a special guest appearance from Pheonix!
Ouse Valley Chorus were very pleased to perform at the Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts. We sang "You Make Me Feel So Young" and "Come What May". The adjudicator praised us for our warm, rich sound and for our level of engagement. We were very proud to win a distinction!
Ouse Valley Chorus had the honour of once again supporting the Rotary Voices and a number of upcoming musicians at a concert organised by the Rotary Club. We were well received and proved a popular act with the sell-out crowd.
A fantastic evening entertaining the punters at Hare On The Green after their Christmas Pub Quiz. We sang a number of festive favourites before retiring to the bar to further entertain our generous hosts.

Ouse Valley Chorus competed at the 2019 BABS National Convention. We sang "Where Is Love?" from Lional Bart's Oliver!, and "You Make Me Feel So Young". We were delighted to become Division Three champions and gained promotion to Division Two. Roll on 2020!

Ouse Valley Chorus competed at the 2018 BABS Convention. We sang "Chances Are" by Johnny Matthis and "Gee, I'm Glad It's Raining" from Disney's film "Earnest Goes To Camp".
Ouse Valley Chorus competed at the 2017 BABS convention where we sang "Eight Days A Week" by The Beetles, and "Chances Are" by Johnny Mathis. We improved on last year's score and ditched those waistcoats!
Ouse Valley Chorus competed at the 2014 BABS Convention where we sang "Paper Moon" and "If I Didn't Have You".
